The aim of the Autenfood project is to develop analytical strategies to authenticate Catalan food products at various stages of the food production chain. The project includes various food products such as olive oil, pork, beer or coffee vending products.
LiBiFOOD, together with the Federació de Cooperatives Agràries de Catalunya (FCAC), is mainly in charge of the research on developing analytical strategies for Catalan olive oil authenticity dealing with:
- botanical origin (varieties)
- geographical origin
- detection of olive oil adulteration with seed oils
The Autenfood project is one of the collaborative research projects (industry-academia) within the RIS3CAT program INNOAPAT, and it has received funding from ACCIO-Generalitat de Catalunya through the Programa Operatiu FEDER Catalunya 2014-2020 (Ref COMRDI15-1-0035).
