
Raquel holds a degree in Veterinary Sciencies at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (2014).
Currently she is conducting her PhD at the Departament de Ciència Animal i dels Aliments from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona at the Animal Nutrition and Welfare Group. She is also conducting part of her research in our research group at UB, under the research line Valorization of fat co- and by-products for animal feeding. Concretely, her PhD project is based on the improvement of acid oils used in broiler chicken feeds. Acid oils are by-products from the process of oil refining. This theme was began out of the necessity for finding new and more affordable, sustainable and efficient nutritional strategies.
