Bachelor in Pharmacy (1971), Diploma in Health (1972), Doctor of Pharmacy (1975) from the University of Barcelona.

Research: Field of the study of lipid components of food. First group leader on “technological and nutritional study of lipids,” recognized by the Government of Catalonia. Supervision of 12 doctoral theses. Management and participation in 24 research projects and 17 research agreements with companies. 1 patent. More than 150 publications in various national and international journals related to food lipids, and more than 50 conference papers. Coordinator and / or editor of nine book chapters.

Teaching positions occupied: Training Fellow researchers (FPI), Prof. Assistant, Acting Deputy, Aggregate (University of Santiago de Compostela) (University of Barcelona) and Professor (University of Barcelona) (1981).

Academic expertise: degrees of Pharmacy, Nutrition and Dietetics, Food technology and Gastronomy and Culinary Sciences teaching subjects in Chemical Analysis, Toxicology, Food Science, Food Analysis and Food Chemistry and Quality Control. Participation in various PhD programs  teaching courses on chromatography, quality and lipids. Participation in the Master of “Nutrition and Metabolism” and “Food Research, Development and Innovation”. Visiting Professor at the University Rovira i Virgili and IQS. Numerous post-graduate courses.

Academic Management: Vice-Dean and Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Deputy Division of Health Sciences and Representative of the President for Campus Food Torribera. Vice President of the National Conference of Deans. 10 papers presented at conferences / workshops on management at the university, teaching, university-industry relations.

Others: I have been an expert evaluator of projects in the EU Advisory IRTA, Board Member of the “Fundació Bosch Gimpera”, “Fundació CESNID” and “Fundació Mesters Jané”. Member of the Scientific Committee of the ICC. Member of the Royal Academy of Pharmacy of Catalonia (Reial Acadèmia de Farmàcia de Catalunya). Head of the “Pharmacy working group” of the “Institut d’Estudis de la Salut”. AIDIT Collaborator.
